Kleinberg Electric provided temporary power and completed permanent work for the station construction of a new South Ferry terminal. The scope of work for the 36-month project included supplying temporary power, while working on the maintenance and relocation of existing power sources and signal-fiber optic and communication services. These measures allowed for the large-scale construction of a subway tunnel and structural box for the new South Ferry Terminal. Permanent work for the project included new FRE duct banks in the newly constructed tunnels, in addition to new street lighting and traffic work in the station’s vicinity. The project was completed for Schiavone Construction Co., Inc/Granite Halmar Construction Company, Inc., JV.
