Kleinberg Electric completed the electrical work for the Lexington Avenue and East 53rd Street Station rehabilitation project. The scope of work for the 36-month project included new EDRs, EPRs, power, lighting, escalators, elevators, signal and communication upgrades. In addition, Kleinberg provided electrical work for the construction of a new mezzanine connecting the Lexington Avenue and Third Avenue Stations, and bridging the passageways between the E, 6, and M train lines. The project was completed while the station remained open to commuters. The general contractor for the project was Slattery Skanska, Inc./Gottlieb Skanska, Inc., JV.
